I got up today and I just couldn't put the tie away, yet I did however forego the suit for a collegiate "schoolboy" look....the stylish version of course!! Nothing speaks louder than a "rep" tie to complete a collegiate "prep" schoolboy look.... Well ok, that's not true.... maybe a plaid shirt too, oh, and possibly a harris tweed vest as well!! Then of course you cannot forget the classics such as khaki chinos and the navy sportjacket with the gold buttons or, for a more casual look, the classic beat up jean jacket. And then for your feet a classic pair of brogues or loafers will do the trick....
Last but not least, if you're somewhere cold like in New York right now, you would definitely need a scarf, perhaps some gloves and a hat. Of course there are a million places to buy such things and as you all now, my go-to spot is the Ralph Lauren shop, but another great shop for anything "preppy" or "schoolboy" ish, is another favorite of mine, J.Press.
